Enthusiastic, caring and like to talk. More of a giver than a taker I think. Inquisitive and a sensitive thinker.
I am quite family orientated having 3 daughters who live locally with their husband and partners.
I've done some good things including going round the world at 19, being a consultant landscape architect, having my own street furniture design company and reformed a remote cortijo in the Alpujarras in southern Spain (but no longer have it). I am retired so have some time on my hands.
My simple pleasures are home life and pottering around. I like cycling (lycra type), planning trips, meals out. I am interested in landscape archaeology, exhibitions and films that stir emotion. I have a camper van to escape Bristol and would do more if there was someone to go with.
I am quite laid back and happy to see what the day brings and sometimes end up doing very little. I'm interested in current affairs. Love spontaneity over long term planning.
Favourite films-TV are The English Patient, Richard Curtis films, Motherland-Amamdaland, Mammamia, The Dig, Titanic and recently The cycle of love and The lost children of Tuam.
I read mostly non-fiction and biographies and am particularly interested in (Dora) Carrington and other outsiders of the Bloomsbury Group but not particularly their literature. Try to do the crossword each day.
My pictures possibly give the skewed impression that I am a cook but I'm not really and don't follow recipes from books. Quite enjoy it though. Do my own bread, sourdough, Kefir and Kombucha.
I don't really get on with dogs unfortunately - sorry (badly bitten on face when a youngster).

I'd love a long term relationship with someone who looks after themselves inside and out (nutritionally and physically without overdoing it!) and who is not necessarily into the luxuries of life.
