I would say I'm a very positive person, a great believer that 'you get stronger in the damaged places' if that's the phrase. I like to experience as much of what life has to offer as I can, and have many interests and activities, and lots of friends too. This is particularly important because I lost my dear husband 10 years ago.So I love singing, dancing, enjoy am-dram, and have just taken up water-colours. I also enjoy reading and listening to classical music (of course!), run a small writing group, love to travel, and speak several languages.I don't necessarily do everything all at the same time, and I can be a bit too busy sometimes - but that's the way I like it! On the other hand, though, I am a caring and reliable friend - oh and I have a lovely little dog too!

I think I am a caring and reliable friend, and that is the kind of person I'm looking for - plus he needs to be clever and knowledgable in his own field and have a really good sense of humour! He wouldn't need to have all the same interests and hobbies as me, of course; in fact, I think it's good for a couple to have some interests in common and others which might be completely different. And friends of their own as well as others in common, which might develop as time goes on. But he would at the very least need to enjoy music, especially classical music, and probably reading as well. And have an interest or ability in languages, ideally, plus a love of travelling - that's a deal-breaker! - and walking in nature. And he would need at least a tolerance of our canine friends!
