I guess I have an interesting backstory as an ex-journo (lotta fun!), though I'd like to be liked for being ME, a shy, lonely 60+ year old whose lost a lotta friends to rock'n'roll excess (amazed I'm still here) and miss them a lot. My friends who're still here would laugh at the 'shy' bit, as I come across as confident, outgoing and feisty! Left music journalism and particularly metal as I wanted to rediscover own musicality and rediscover classical at Uni (age 50). Ended up writing about metal - oh the irony! Now returned to playing music (was punk bassist, melodic rock keys player/vocal 90s and 2000s), now replaying and relearning classical (love Chopin) but also still writing my own songs. My heart lies in 70s rock, 80s metal, classical, dub - eclectic tastes (music is music is music). I miss having a partner or at least a companion - it's unknown territory being solo, resigned to being old lady with cat... Dreaming of a like-minded companion to go to gigs with, have lively, intelligent conversations with, watch sci-fi, superhero, thrillers and spy movies. Hope you like me.

I miss having someone around - it's been great past ten years having my own flat (rented) after two very long (tempestuous) cohab relationships, but now my place is starting to feel big and empty. I'm not really looking for a live-in relationship though not ruling it out, however it'd have to be someone I feel safe with - no 1 - comfortable and happy with and who gives me space when needed, and of course vice versa.
