About him
I’m a calm, honest, loyal person who believes in treating others with kindness and respect — it’s how I’ve always tried to live my life. I’ve retained good old-fashioned manners, a positive outlook, and I probably act younger than my years (in a good way, I promise). I don’t take myself too seriously and I’m always up for a laugh—whether that’s at my own expense or the general chaos of the world.
Family and friends are very important to me, as are animals and nature (I’m a volunteer at the local animal rescue centre). I moved to the coast 35 years ago and love walking along the beach, but to keep fit and active I also cycle, hike, practice yoga — anything that keeps the body moving and the mind clear.
I’ve lived abroad and have also travelled widely (numerous trips since retiring), but I know that there are still plenty of places I’d love to explore.
It would be lovely to meet someone kind, genuine and easy to be with, to share new experiences, laughter, good food and whatever comes next. Life’s for living, so I’m happy to try new hobbies/experiences and push the boundaries of my comfort zone.
